Chance The Rapper Shares A Throwback Video Of Lizzo Interviewing Him Before Her Fame

There is no doubt that Lizzo’s rise to fame is definitely inspirational in so many ways. She has been open about her journey as she continues to climb the ladder of success.

On Thursday, Chance The Rapper shared a throwback clip of Lizzo interviewing him a year before he dropped his second mixtape “Acid Rap.” At the time, she was working at a publication named Green Room. He showed love to Lizzo as he recognized the journey she traveled to make it to where she is today.

He said, “Anybody recognize the woman interviewing me?? Give you a hint we’re playing the same Houston festival in a couple of weeks and have the same number of GRAMMYs. Guys, this video is so dope to see. It was 2012, a year before Acid Rap even dropped, and I was being interviewed for a small magazine in Minneapolis called GreenRoom, right after a small show I was playing. I remember it like it was yesterday and it was EIGHT years ago. Wow man. I’ve watched Lizzo work her ass off to become the biggest act in the world and it was nothing but her and her day 1 best friends’ hard work, and her own God-given Talent. I am immensely proud of her and so inspired by her journey. Life is crazy 💙 Tag someone you believe is one day gonna be a superstar.”

As many of you know, Lizzo’s career continues to skyrocket, and she is unapologetically 100% her natural self. This year, she took home a total of three Grammy Awards following the success of her 2019 album “Cuz I Love You.”

Therefore, going to show that her grind has not gone unnoticed and her hard work continues to pay off.
